My name is Miłosz Giersz. I hold a Ph.D. and an M.A. in archaeology from University of Warsaw, Poland. Currently, I work as an Assistant Professor of Archaeology at the Institute of Archaeology, University of Warsaw, Poland.


My research interests include complex pre-Hispanic societies of the Andes, settlement patterns, technology and organization of ceramic craft production, mortuary archaeology, archaeology of religion, and general theory of archaeology and archaeological science.


I have a number of ongoing fieldwork and writing projects. Since 2002 I am the former Director and Scientific Assessor of Culebras Valley Archaeological Project, and since 2010 I am the Director of Castillo de Huarmey Archaeological Project, both in the North Coast of Peru.
